Thiocolchicoside

Capsule

Thiocolchicoside capsule contains the active substance thiocolchicoside which belongs to a group of medicines called muscle relaxants. It is used to relieve painful muscle spasms and improve mobility. It acts on the central nervous system to reduce muscle stiffness and spasm without affecting voluntary movements.

Mechanism

Thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant by binding to GABA-A and glycine receptors in the central nervous system. It helps in reducing muscle contractions and stiffness, thereby relieving pain and improving movement.
